So with the switch to a black interior basically complete, I went to install my Momo shift ****, and in the interest of getting rid of the rattle I had before, I put some tape between the shift lever and the adapter. Unfortunately, it seems like my **** is now stuck halfway down the lever - anybody have any suggestions for how I could get it off? Thanks

fixed the problem

for future reference, when removing an aftermarket shift ****, always double check that you've removed all 3 set screws......doh!
