When I pulled out my rear quarter windows to get the interior panels out, I found out that the rubber gasket on both windows has seperated on the long flat part along the b-pillar edge. What would be the best material to use to seal the gasket back to the window?

With new quarter window gaskets, you should not need any adhesive or sealant. You should just use the new gaskets. THey are about $35 bucks or so from Pelican Parts or 944 Online.

I agree, you will never get the old ones glued up properly. You could easily spend way more than $70 of your time gluing and reinstalling those old seals over and over again. Not to mention the wet interior each time you discover they are leaking again.

The early cars used some of the same goop as the taillights, but I either didn't notice it on the later ones or someone had already had the rear quarter windows out on the later cars I have worked on.
I'd spring for the new rubber and not use any sealant. Get some 1/4" nylon cord and wrap around the trough in the seal, put it in place and pull the cord out, the windows will pop back in quickly, just don't pull too fast or hard and cut the new seal. I just did this last weekend, it took about 1 minute per window to swap out the old tinted ones for clean, untinted windows.![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
