Now that is brilliant. I need to get me some of those plates - will you making a batch, or did you just post the template so everyone can make their own?

Early doors are different than late doors, and there is less depth for speakers to go in. I don't know the measurements, but NA guys should measure for themselves before the cut the template at a certain thickness.

Thanks for the cool idea! And I agree there should only be 2 speakers, 2 tweeters, a head and an amp. I myself run away from amps and subs for the fear of molesting my car... but we're setting up my dad's 993 like that.

I did the same on my early, though not as fancy, just an oval or more like a rectangle with the edges rounded off and painted black. Works great, I forget what thickness wood I used though. I've given up on getting HiFi in a car though, I concentrate that on my home system, I'm just trying to get halfway decent sound at least.
