Default Need some help writing a tech report

I have to put together a 20 page technical report on the porsche 944, and ways to maintain them as well as typical problems with them. The report will have helpful tips, experiences with the 44 that only long time owners can come up with. What I need is some examples of experiences you guys have gone through. Just about anything that has to do with 44s will work.

example: Red Rustoleum paint just happens to match porsches guards red paint, the only downfall with it is that after time the rustoleum attracts dirt and the red place where you repainted becomes dark and dirty.

Thanks in advance for anything you can throw together.

I looked high and low for a 17mm allen head socket to remove the drain plug on the rearend. Was ready to order one for $17, then went to a swap meet and found a new VW drain plug wrench (17mm) for $3.Problem sovled

You might want to check out Kevin Gross' site on the 944. Lots of good information. http://www.connact.com/~kgross/FAQ/944faq.html

clarks-garage.com has lots of info

and remember, use source citations!

BTW, most english teachers don't give a crap what a paper is writen about, they care about how it was writen, so don't feel too bad about leaving out details. Look for multiple sources, web, periodicals, and books (factory manual, haynes, etc.)

VW parts are a godsend...

NEVER push the trip reset while moving. Little plastic gears are worthless.

Even with rock chips, dings, dents, scratches, and faded paint, people WILL stop and admire your car.
