For a PCA Drivers Ed., do you need a 2000+ M or SA helmet. It looks like you only need a M rated one for autocross, but the pca website does not specify which for DEs.

Depends on the region hosting the DE. Look at their Rules & Regulations, and/or their Tech Form. If it's not stated, contact the region directly.

Most regions will not allow M rated helmets; however, best to check. If you are buying get an SA and look for a 2005, that way you will not have issues.

The NNJR PCA region will allow M-rated helmets, but highly recommends that if you have the option of getting either, that you purchase an SA-rated helmet, which offers better in-car protection.

Do a quick search in the DE/Racing forum -- you'll find a lot of discussion on helmets there.

Peachstate does not allow M-rated helmets, so as already stated, be on the safe side and get an SA-rating

PCA now allows BSI rated helmets - that's the FIA approval process. Ilove my new Stilo with built in headset and intercom. BSI helmets are dated and good for ten years, no more 2000 2005 2010 etc. If you buy a BSI approved helmet in 2007 it is good til 2017 unless you hit something

Depends of the region - NOR will allow M rated helmets.
