MAF's come with chips.
Then you usually use a piggyback of some sort to control the air/fuel.

A MAF won't work with the stock chips in your DME.

I figured the MAF would come with some kind of chip.. but I'm going from stock turbo to the LR Super 61.. I'm assuming there should be no issues with stock chip.

The chip is what calculates how much fuel for the boost pressure.
Your Super 61 is gonna be giving hella more air at 15 psi than the 26/6. The car is going to be running super lean on boost. Plus, the stock chips will hit overboost protection.

Or did you get chips to match the turbo? I'm kind of confused as to what all you have as far as setup goes...

Well I dont have new chips yet, only the stock chip. I will be getting the new updated chip soon.. once I get 55# injectors and a new exhaust. Just wondering if I can slap the turbo in without any issues before I get the new chip.

No, I'd hold out until you had the chips and injectors.

Agreed. You should have a look at the chip deal at Lindsey Racing. They have a "trade in" price of only $150.00.

Does that include stock chips? "For those of you running a competitor's chip set such as Autothority, Weltmeister, Super Chips or any other brand name"

Kind of confusing... Porsche doesn't sell aftermarket chips, so, not a competitor...but, Porsche made the stock chips or got them from some other brand.

Sounds like you are stock at this time. When you order the MAF, let whoever you are getting it from know what your setup will be and have them provide chips that have been programmed toward that setup.
