Changing out emergency brake cables...

Hey guys,
Well, my car had a leaky sunroof before I bought it and the emergency brake cable was basically rusted solid. I had to cut the cable and I'm soaking the bracket (with spring and adjusting nuts) in oil right now to see if they'll eventually break free.
In the mean time though, I'd like to replace the cables. I have a brand new set of cables, one "left side" and one "right side" cable. I assume the longest one is the one that goes in through the drivers floor board.
How difficult is it to replace this? I mean, I know that I can do it, I'd just like to hear from someone who's done it before in case there's any typical issues to deal with (before I get started).
Thanks!

still haven't installed my new ones. if you can get the nuts loose then it's easy. plenty of pb blaster though will be a big deal.
My cable got crumpted inside the tube inside the car so i still haven't got it done.
