Default Need a Picture of Footwell Grounds.

I am in the process of checking/reinstalling my fuching grounds. I have done several searches and have extrapolated some meaningful info, but have yet to see a picture of the exact location of the footwell grounds. Is there a definitive 944 grounding thread? Anyone with a pic or two of the footwell grounds? Please help. Thank you. Michael

I could only find the passenger side under-dash grounding spot...

Thanks Chris. Should it be the same on my early 44?

Yep. 924S = Early 944, at far as the dash and wiring goes. My car had AC too, so it should be similar to yours.

Thanks man. Looks like I can remove the kicker panel and some carpet and get right at it. Also, here is pic/illustration of the bellhousing ground to pepper seaches with pictured results. I will also grab some of the rear grounds and the front frame rails when I get to this in the next couple.

I'll dig around under the dash tonight and snap a picture or two. Give me a call to remind me.

On the driver side, if you stick your head down by the pedals and look up you should see two rather large grounds to the outside of the steering column shaft. No pics, but they're pretty easy to find if you move the wires around a little.

Take out the glove box on an early car and there is one right in front of you.

Sorry to steal the thread, but where are all the grounds on a 944. While I have the car apart, I have been cleaning/electrical greasing them and have only found 5 so far.

I know of at least one in the hatch somewhere around the spare tire, two under the driverside dash by the steering column, I believe there are two above the computers on the later cars in the passenger footwell, the main battery ground (whatever that connects to). Aren't there a couple of grounds on the engine itself?

One in the middle of the firewall. One for each headlight. I can't find the steering column one.

Its not on the steering column itself, its to the outside of the column. There are two on a bracket bolted into the metal hidden under all the wires. It is basically straight back from the headlight switch.

Here you go guys, took me forever to find this diagram. Im about to clean off all my grounds as well, I think they are causing my gauges to read a little high.

^ Sweeeeeet.

Looking through pictures I have of the drivers footwell, here are 4. Two are hidden back sort of above the hood release hatch, the other two are the ones next to the steering column I was talking about (also above the cruise control box).

Glorious pictures! Is there any way to get at the driver's side foot area ones without unplugging all the wires. Early 944s have all the fuses there which makes it impossible to get to.
