Default $400 Porsche 944 with pics!

I picked this 1989 944 up on Saturday - cleaned it up a little. Repainted a couple times it looks like from the overspray. PO said that he had driven it around but that it made a lot of racket. I have never seen so much mold on the inside of one of these cars

Will be a parts car if anyone is looking for anything. Has ABS and power lock non script smooth door handles.

That's actually not that bad at all!

Although the inside doesn't look entirely gross, it looks to me like it was a water recovery.

You should gut the interior (sell all the pieces you can) and turn it into a track car. Even if you never take it to the track, how cool would it be to have a gutted Porsche 944 with a racing seat and nothing but Rhino Liner on the floor!?

You could even put in an aluminum dash and early 944 gauges and a momentary start switch!

Hmm - not sure of the brand. Just some sort of foaming stuff from Advance Auto Parts. I prefer the standard stuff though. The factor that makes the most difference though is a hot water pressure washer - I use it on everything

Actually doesn't look bad. Certainly a hell of a buy for $400, especially if it still runs.

That engine really cleaned up well. 400 bucks was a steal.

Its really not the best idea to push high pressure water across all those engine electricals, but - its a 400 dollar car so I guess it doesnt really matter.lol.

Well - depends a lot on the condition of the motor since that is pretty much the main value in the car. I think that the entire interior will be seeing the trash can because of the mold. The rear interior panels were even swelled up a little

The value of the 2.7 head is debateable - apparently it is quite an undertaking to use it on the 3 liter. I know that some folks are asking $1500 for a good head but I don't think they are selling for that much.

I guess maybe I've just been lucky so far as that is the way I've kept all my engine bays clean over the last 10 years Maybe I should post a disclaimer on that picture.... Of course I don't linger around the distributor cap
