Default 944S Vacuum hose routing - Heater Control Valve

Having trouble tracing down a vacuum hose connection on my 1987 944S.

Let me back up....been having heater issues and thought it was the infamous clip problem. That was one of the problems, but it's fixed and the heat is still on.

So I started checking the heater control valve and tracing the vacuum line that actuates it. Looks like the valve is working...I know this because if I put suction on the vacuum line, the valve operates like it should. Unfortunately, the distant end of the vacuum line is disconnected near the firewall and I can't see where it connects to anything..

Does anybody have any suggestions as to where this line goes? I've looked all around the area where the line runs to, but can't find where it connects. I guess I could just put suction on the line and pinch it off to hold the valve closed, but I'd like to try and fix this properly.

Pictures are good....any 944S people out there know where this line connects?

Thanks in advance!
