Default How durable is the Fiberwerks Evo II bumper?

Has anyone tested (intentionally or otherwise) the durability of the Fiberwerks Evo II bumper? I understand there is a metal bar where the bumper is suppose to be. How solid, compared to stock,is this reinforcement? Are the shock absorbers used for the installation?

I'd say as sturdy as any fibreglass part can be....ie: don't hit anything...ever.

they do look nice though....

I've bottomed mine out on a dip in the road once. It scratched up the bottom lip but didn't crack the piece. The metal reinforcement is thin metal. It is definitely not a functional replacement for the stock bumper but works fine to support the fiberglass piece. You will need to add a few more brackets to help hold the piece on the car securely, especially near the side markers. And no, the stock bumper absorbers are not used.
