Default Big Brakes Question

Is there a cheaper solution than the 993 TT Big Reds? Looking for increased performance but dont feel like spending the 1800 for front brakes.

You could cut holes in the floor and put your feet down like Fred Flintstone ...

I was thinking about getting some cross-drilled, cryo treated flip flops... I heard they do well.

Well doing the math, if you get replacement cross drilled OE size rotors and the Wilwood kit.. it comes out to be around 1600-1700... depending on what you get extra... doesnt really seem worth it when you can get the 993 TT Big Reds Lyndsey Kit for the same price. (not to mention the performance difference)

The Wilwood kit was built for N/As which didn't have a 'direct bolt on' solution big brake kit.

If I were to go with Big Reds, I'd need 86 951 front spindles, hubs, etc, etc. PLUS the calipers, rotors, pads, adapters, etc.

Personally I believe the Wilwood has offered be MORE than adequete braking with no noticed fade so far, and I can still run my 15's for the time being, which is a bonus.

I got the first set of these brakes I believe, or one of the first anyway, so I got an introductory price, and they have been worth every penny.

So I just purchased 205/50R 17 and 255/40R 17 Tires with rims... I just had a quick question if anybody could answer. What is the difference between the Big Brake Kits on Lindsey's site. The 86 Turbo costs more than the 89 Turbo application.. whats the difference? Will any of these work on my 86' 951 ?

I believe the 86 has axial mounted calipers (and is early offset) as the 89/88Turbo S have radial mounted calipers... Meaning the 86 needs an adapter

Someone with a deeper knowledge base maybe chime in and correct me though
