That is so awesome. I can use a cobalt drill bit and my Drill Doctor diamond bit sharpener to drill out something like that but I totally like the brute force and ignorance used on the retarded engineering involved in securing the cam tower to the head. It totally defies the stupidity of Porsche engineering on this part due to the usage of allen head bolts (yes I think allens should be banned along with cheeseheads). I am sure their engineers would frown but I just love it.

Lol, well atleast the car has a good cam cover and new bolts so all is good. yes, i do hate hex bolts, but a good lesson learned. #1 DO NOT use ball ended hex keys on hard to get to hex bolts. #2 Try using Torqx keys instead of hex keys and finally #3 if all else fails, CHOP IT OFF.
Also thanks goes to Arash for being up to the job, otherwise I would probably still be sitting there staring at the housing for the sake of not wanting to take a grinder to it.

Jason, I'm glad I could help. It was fun solving our problem with some caveman engineering.
There is a new problem though - those two head bolts. You know the ones, the only two bolts that hold down the head, right by a water passage at the front driver corner of the head. They are like M8 x something. Can you believe they are not in the PET?
Anyway these bolts snapped when you were removing them, and everything I tried to remove them was useless. I ended up drilling them through, but i drilled a slight bit off-center. We'll have to open the holes up one size (maybe to a standard size, since m10 seems too big) and tap them.

that should be fine, im just worried that bigger holes mean we have to drill on the head as well.. and we'll have to make bigger holes on the headgasket as well.. yikes.

If we open up the holes in the block, we can put helicoil inserts in, to reduce the size back to M8. I can't remember what torque setting those bolts are supposed to be at, but I don't think it was very much. Helicoil doesn't work well with high stress but I think it should be fine here.
