I've done this job several times and can drop in to help you out depending on when you're doing it. Send me a PM if interested. No charge.

Cheers

i'll be up at my house probably most of the day between 12 and 7pm save for the occasional trip for lunch and to sears.

if anyone wants to drop by and say hi im on 650 arlington cir. in novato.

its the big green house with the porsche in the garage

and i'll probably be dancing around it holding a wrench and wearing an indian rain dancer mask

just make sure you give me a call before you do in case im not there.

I feel somewhat ashamed to be charging fellow rennlisters, but rest assured that your dollars are paying for real labor and all the skill I've accumulated. I won't be helping, I'll be doing (as much as you let me)!

Anyway, I'm planning on being there tomorrow around noon. I'll probably take my 968 as the 944 is filled with spare 944 seats, and my merc wagon is filled with a 500lb engine hoist.

To get that broken bit of allen tool stuck in the bolt head, try a magnet (like on an extending rod).

For the other bolt, the one that partially stripped, try a time machine?

I will accept any tender that will buy me new tires. A 968 with 3 different types of rubber is sad, indeed. Even the '84 has matching Pilots.

Remember, I don't have a job and I'm only "welcome" at my mom's house for another few weeks!

You could be Roger's "live-in" mechanic.

What? After finding a 968 for her -- how ungrateful!

So where do we stand on the wrenching party? When/where? I have things to do before the track day on Monday!

I thought it was today. I was ready to rock.

I was going to leave my chop saw at home, but I was going to bring the sledge hammer

i was going to have it today but not enough interest. if anyone wants, we can do it next week tuesday. i'll probably be putting a turbo front end on my car and new belts.. and im sure there are a few people who would want to wrench on their own cars.

Jason I found a cheap cambox on craigslist in Concord/Pleasanton. It's like $15. The dude also has a head I wanted to buy.
