I am considering powder coating my new rims, but if I do I would like to get them to match the car as closely as possible. I don't know much about the powders/paints or how that whole thing works, so I was wondering if anyone knows if I would be able to get them done in alpine white or I could get some powders mixed? to match alpine white? I'd also like to here your opinions on rims that match car color. Thanx

Personally, I think white rims tend to look a little "rally". If you're into that go for it. IMO shiny chrome colored wheels are the way to go. I've seen some decent results with chrome wheels with added color accents to match the color of the car tho.

My former alpine white 85.5 944 came with color matched fuchs with polished rims. After 10 years or so they started to look a little funky, so Wheel Enhancement redid them for me. Cost about a grand six or seven years ago, but they came out great.

I am about to do my track rims in White as well. I have a red car and for DEs I apply nice white letters. I have been cautioned against poweder coating as it goes on so thick that it might conceal cracks. Is this an actual concern? I don't know. I do know this what ever you chose make sure you can keep it clean as white will show brake dust more than any other color.
