Default Cooling Fan replacement

One of the two fans is making noise on my 89 944S2. I think that it's the bearings.
Can one fan be replaced? What is the best source?
Any suggestions or precautions on removal?

You can replace just one fan, but they are expensive new. $200 or so IIRC. Removal is pretty easy, 3 screw on top 3 on the bottom and 2 connectors to power the fans. The top 3 screws are a PITA to get to when taking them out, and even harder when reinstalling.

Try used. They last a really long time.

I have two used from a 968 fan shroud. I think they are the same fan, but check on that. They worked last time there were in the car. PM me if interested. They are very expensive new.
