Default What a difference!

Just posting some thoughts. I recently completed my suspension freshening on the 83...I did:

New A arms
Weltmeister red bushings (front only)
new ball joints
new front rotors
new weltmeister 220lb. springs front
new tie rod ends
stainless brake lines all the way around
brake fluid flush
New Bilstein shocks on all corners
repacked and adjusted front wheel bearings

I already had 951 front and rear sways but now it handles GREAT. The ride is firm but not overbearing. The steering response is instantaneous. The slightest input is immediatley transmitted to the wheels! Im very pleased with the result. Next I think I'll do the rear bushings and possibly a slight torsion bar upgrade. After I freshen the motor up, that is =)

Glad to hear your mods worked, I've still got to start with research, at my first time trail last week I realised how much I need to do something.

That's about what I was expecting. I was thinking about doing most of things on your list to my 83, so now I know what to budget. What's that Weltmeister red bushing thing? Is that on the control arm?
