951 brake cooling ducts necessary with 968 scoop upgrade?

I have the good fortune to have a 951 that had brand new 968 control arms installed by the PO when the original ball joints wore out a few years ago. $60 later from Sunset I now have the 968 brake cooling scoops (strut mount and control arm pieces) ready to install this weekend.
Do I need to keep the 951 cooling ducts above the batwing in the nose of the car, or could I remove them? Did the 968 have a cooling duct arrangement from the nose of the car or do the 968 scoops on the control arms suffice to route cool air to the strut mounted scoops that then direct it to the rotors?
I ask because I'm also planning to install the KISS oil cooler this weekend and would consider ditching the left side brake cooling scoop if it is superfluous.

The Kiss kit mounts above the brake duct.
Assuming that you are or will be tracking the car (since the 968 brakes cooling scoops and additional oil cooler are basically useless/overkill for the street) I would absolutely leave the ducts in place.

Thanks for the replies. I did the install this afternoon. Based on the way that the 968 scoops work, it's pretty clear once they are installed that no other ducting is needed. It's not totally impossible that a portion of the air flowing from the 951 ducts would reach the 968 scoops, so I guess I'll leave them in place, but they're definitely superfluous.
