Well the thing about hiring a mechanic is you dont learn the stuff yourself. If he does this job, after he is done he will be a master! Only reason he should let a mechanic at it is if he needs the car back on the road. I personally believe you learn techniques and have to be creative when you do a tough job yourself. Take a couple more cracks at it then consider a mechanic.
