Default Oh how it burns..

I'm kinda in the market for a new tranny, so i'm pricing options and look at this gem I found on evilbay...

Turbo S LSD

Is it me or is this an outrageous asking price.

One would think that for $2500 they would at least clean it off... (man am I glad I don't live where it snows)

Usually lsd trannys only go for $1500ish.

Thanks for the heads up guys. I'm not really in the market as much as if i find a good deal i'm going to jump on it. I know this has been discussed before but am i correct in saying the 944s tranny has the stronger 1st and 2nd and also a shorter 5th?

I have a 107K mile 1989 944 S2 transaxle that shifts great it came out of a friend of mines car who installed a 968 transaxle. The S2 transaxle is stronger than a 944 S transaxle but has the shorter ring and pinion than the turbo. I would like $750 and it does not have LSD! Thanks

STAY AWAY

Sold me a "944S2 LSD Tranny with 60,000m" and it turns out it was a 944S Tranny (It had an LSD, I'll give him that) with lord knows how many miles... Took like 6 months to get, and I had to call the Duluth, GA Police Department to get any co-operation.

Search for d993, Northeast Auto Inc, or David Mandache... I believe the Maltese embassy were after his *** after he 'broke trade agreement' with a rennlister in Malta...

I hope he gets what's coming to him.

We should get some torches and pitch forks, and take what we deserve...

Bet it came out of a Katrina car, and bet the case is full of stank water. If you are vey interested, I could assist with an inspection. I'am in Atlanta and can drive up.

Actually what Perry said makes sense...

My car has 216k MILES on it, and the top of the transaxle support arm was only slightly dusty.
