I finally got all of the spare parts with my 951. Along with more questions. first of all, i have stock blaupunct radio, abs unit, a decent hood, 4 phone dials, stock a/c stuff, stock computer. what would be a price for these? also, what is the red light with the ! in the middle of the instrument cluster? the purpose for this? also, not wanting to find out the hard way, what is a car like this capable of---full 3inch exhaust, high flow, soon to be no cat, upgraded chips, lindsey boost controler, headers, PO estimated at over 300 whp car. I think 928S front and rear brakes? not sure of model, but a higher performace porsche car brakes, braided stainless steel lines, and eibach springs, pretty hight spring rate, 430 ish frong, 300 rear, i assume and koni 5 way? just how good of a car is this, i don't want to track it everyday, but would like to be able to consume my share of back roads. Also, the brakes feel great during normal stopping, however under extremely heavy deceleration, they feel as if they fade, but still will lock up, any explanations? thanks for all of your guys help. much better than the Z car forum.

I believe the ! light is an engine warning light. If you stall out this light comes on. (yes, this happened to me at a VERY inclined stoplight! LOL!!)

Straight from the owner's manual... "Central Warning Light- The central warning light comes on after turning on the ignition. This light monitors all functions displayed by the instruments. If one of these functions fails, the central warning light and the pertinent indicator light come on until the malfunction has been corrected. The vehicle should immediatly be taken to the nearest authorized work-shop." page 37

Hope that helps!!

"!" can be a variety of problems. Low oil level, low water.

I've had mine come on when I got new floor mats that stopped the handbrake lever from being fully disengaged.

its certainly worth checking out.

lol, well for instand in the 240z section, i would be like, so i have these triple webers, what would be the proper approach to adjusting the a/f ratio? and my reply would be like....hmmm. if you only knew.... and like, well you had enough sense to buy webers, so now you should learn to use them...or what kind of question is that....more insulting than helpful

Welcome! You will find a great group of guys on here. I can't say enough about them. I have learned more about my car from guys on here then I could ever learn anywhere else.

Oh we are picture ****** too, love to see them!

Warning lamp can come on for a bunch of reasons. Low oil, temp too high, ebrake up just a hair off the switch or even cause the car doesn't like the color of the sky or you say something bad to it. I would check the oil level, ebrake fully down and coolant level. Also check the break fluid level too, that could set it off.

Welcome to the community!

My '!' light kept coming on like that, would flicker, go out, just like you state. It was a loose connection on the Ebrake switch. It's kind of hard to get to if you have fat fingers, but it's near the base of the ebrake handle, under it, check that.

Hope this helps...

Regards,
Russell
