Default Need a 85.5 5 speed trans

Just came home for lunch, heard a grrrrr noise under light throttle, not much under heavy or light throttle, then it got really loud and BANG! Thought I lost a CV joint, coasted home and checked it out. CV's ok, jack up right side of car, rotate right rear tire, feel resistance for a liitle, then nothing...

Think it's the ring gear, missing some teeth... Haven't done any burnouts, so it puzzles me as to why it crapped out like this...

Anyway, anyone within a couple of hundred miles of Mansfield, Oh got a good 5 speed they want to sell?

I *might* have a 944S trans with 70,000 miles on it available for someone in the near future. That has almost identical gearing to an NA, with a beefier R&P and short 5th.

Thing is, it would have to be freighted, and it would be a couple weeks before it would be ready.

I have a good non-lsd trans. out of my '87 944S.
I swapped it out for an lsd trans. back in Dec. of last year.
I'd let it go for $250. plus shipping or you can pick it up.

Man, that is a great price. I would buy something like that even if I didn't need it.
