A comparison of Victor Reinz seal (left) and Porsche - Kaco (right).

I think I'm going to use the OEM seal. Curil-T not recommended?

Posting a follow-up.

I still have a leak with a Porsche OEM seal installed.

This time the seal was driven fully into the bore.

My questions:

Is it possible that the sealing lip can be driven past the sealing surface of the crank if driven fully into the bore?

Is it also possible that the oil return machined into the girdle could be blocked by a seal driven fully into the bore or something else, perhaps excess sealant, etc?

Does anyone have a 9126 tool? Where does it put the seal - flush, or beyond flush?

I have no other leaks after a complete reseal, why does it have to be the REAR MAIN!?

Lastly - beab951, where did you get that orange and black seal?

Thank you,

Thanks.

I have a VR seal, just curious who makes the orange center/black outer seal.
