Default Spacer help...

I am going to buy new rims that are 50mm Front & 47mm Rear.
I am going to run a 225/40/18 Front & 285/30/18 Rear tire.

I have a 86 944 Turbo. I am wondering what size of spacer do I need to run?
I have done the search thing but I am cornfused.
Thanks, Justin

On the front about 30mm and 25mm on the rear, maybe you can fit 30mm back there.

What kind of wheels did you get??

BTW the stock offset is 23.3mm so you just take the wheel offset you are using and subtract the stock # from it for a stock fit....

What width are the rims? I've got 9in 47et rims on the back of my 86. I ended up running a 28mm spacer but i could deffinatly squeeze a 30mm spacer.

I think I am lost again. So 50mm less 23.3 = 26.7 for the front ?
And 47mm less 23.3 = 23.7 for the rear?

Sorry I am stupid

Yeah, I rounded up since I would have wanted to move the wheels out a little from stock because there was room there with factory wheels.

I did not figure that you are getting such wide wheels, so I have been thinking about it for the last 10 minutes....I am trying to find the rennlist member page that talked about offsets, it was by 951racerx or something....lemme find the page.

a dumb question...do spacers come with longer wheel studs? or can you put a 23 mm spacer on without new studs?

Depends, they are either just a spacer and you will need longer studs or you can get a bolt-on spacer that has studs in the spacer so you just bolt them on like you would a wheel and then bolt the wheel to the spacer. easy peasy.
