Default early 944 'restoration' -rubber parts

I'm thinking of an early 944 and most of the rubber is shot, door seals, headlight motor boots, etc.

How available is this stuff? PP has the doorseals and the other exterior stuff, but I didn't look too deeply into the underhood items.

I also will need the seats redone, they are a fabric striped pattern, I need to get a picture as I can't recall the pattern exactly. I think it is velour with vinyl on the bolsters.

It's been a while since I had a 944, anything new on hatch glass re-sealing? Dash covers/replacemnt?

Just thinking at this stage, haven't pulled the trigger yet, so thanks for any thoughts.

944online.com has many of the rubber parts. Prices are probably better than PP.

I looked at the 944 online site(also found the phone#), very nice. I sold my last 944 a few years ago, and it looks like things have progressed since then. Is there getting to be more of a following for these cars?

I got into a 911 project, and I must say that I miss the 944. 911 is nowhwere near as well put together, or as driveable, Granted it's older and designed in a different age. '75 Carerra for sale(maybe!).

I guess the 911 handling is an acquired taste....

That's good to know as I'm in the same boat and will need door/window/hatch seals soon too. I'll give you a call when I'm ready to do mine too
