I am going to buff/ polish the paint on my Black 87' 951/
There are also a few stone chips I was going to use Touch-Up paint on.
Should i use the touch up paint first to protect the edges on the stone chips from chipping, or should i use the touch up paint after the buff because it might interfear with the buffing wheel/compound?
Also, if anyone has any suggestions on a polish, that would be welcome too.

It should be touched up first and allowed time to dry completly. You want a good clean wax free surface to apply the paint to. Which is why you should clean the touchup area with a little alcohol first to remove any wax that might be there.

I'd recommend using the Menzerna polishes and sealants. See: www.properautocare.com
Touch up the black with paint, let dry fully then lighty hand sand with wet 2000 grit sandpaper to smooth out touchup paint lump, then polish out and wax or use sealant. I use an Porter Cable random orbital polisher, and this works well, especially with black. Don't sand too much as you may take off too much paint. Just level out the trouch up before polishing with progressively finer polish before waxing.

Alcohol won't do it...its not strong enough-use pre-cleano P900...takes off wax/etc. You can find it or similar at a NAPA or somewhere they sell auto paints.
I'd use a polishing compaound like Ferecla too.
Best of luck.
