Any issues with cutting the speaker hole in the front doors?

The old speakers would probably catch on fire if I put an amp to them, but yeah, I will most likely do an amp to these new ones. I need to get a new hu first... (I'm hoping it won't sound like complete **** with the late 80s aftermarket one).

How is the fitment for the front side where the dash meets the speaker?
I have been having a tough time to find speaker covers that will fit between the door and dash.

Supposedly you can run I think up to an 1/4" spacer behind the stock speaker cover and not have any clearance issues with the dash? Something like that.

Ok, I hadn't clicked on the image before and couldn't tell from the small
pic. Thanks, I'm not seeing this type on their web site so guessing
they don't make that model anymore.
