Comparison of H4 E-codes and Vision Plus (DOT) lenses
I just got my e-codes and yellowstar bulbs from Travis today (Thanks Travis!). I know we've been beating the topic to death at times in the last few weeks...Would anyone be interested in comparison photos(lenses, light patterns, etc.)? I'd be more than happy to spend part of one of my evenings this weekend taking bulbs and lenses in and out!
The yellowstar bulbs are taking some getting used to, but they're growing on me. The pattern of the e-codes is pretty sweet, though!

Nice Darren, I've got the ecodes too with the middle wattage bulb (65? something like that) from Travis as well... although mine are on a stock harness. Would be interesting to compare that too and see what the output dropoff is like.
I've got so many goodies en route it's not funny... we'll def have to get together soon.

If you really want to compare, measure the voltage across the headlight plug. Actual light output is subjective and is hard to 'capture' with pictures.
Someone did take these pictures showing what IceShark's harness was capable of. It was enough to convince me...
These pictures were taken using the same exposure time and aperture.

I bought my e-codes and yellowstar's from Travis a while back... after about 6 months I can see out of my left eye again, a little.

Techno, the photos are similar to what I want to do. Yes, the voltage is key. But, sometimes, pictures say a lot. The IceShark kit is amazing, but for those who weren't able to get it, this should show them what a harness gets you with stock bulbs, etc. Then we don't have to beat the topic to death anymore.

Pixel, there are some Hella Xenon XP (p for purple) that might be the ticket. I don't see them at rennbay but do see them at rallylights.com (bulbs > H4 > Xenon).
