Goddamn ive been beating on that thing for the past 2 days and cant manage to get its bitch *** out. Thoses 4 BIG *** bolts that hold that bitch to the tranny bellhousing.
If you manage to break something jacking your car up from the transmisson, then youre obviously doing something wrong.

FYI, the factory manual specifically states that you should not jack the car up from under the tranny.
That said, I jack it up from the tranny all the time and I've never had a problem.

To each their own, but for the love of Christ, unless the car fell on someone, I wouldn't jack the car up by the transmission. I respect you guys but what the hell??? Never in my wildest dreams (except for serious threat to person) would I lift the car by the tranny... that mount is for stabilization and vibration suppression. It does compress on lift and will fail prematurely, no?

I do it all the time to place jackstands. I use the point where the TA attaches to the torque tube and a wider cradle on the jack. I've done this for over 3 years with no problems yet.
