Default WTB Tach or Speedo Gauge Needle

I damaged my tach gauge needle when replacing the plastic cluster lens that i broke while polishing the scratches out of it.... (yes there's a theme here...)

So does anyone have a gauge needle that I can buy of you? Also... does anyone have guidance or instructions on removing/replacing the needle? Seems like it could be a pretty touchy job.

Thanks much.

Pull very carefully near the base -- I'd use a plier. Make sure you pull straight or you may bend the shaft that goes into the speedo/tach motor.

BTW -- the new housing should have arrived by now, I hope....

I break the needle loose first by twisting it agaisnt its rotation stop. Then you just rotate and lightly pull.

Thanks JoshephSC.. yes I got the housing yesterday. Thanks so much. I'll drop some $$ in the mail on Monday.

So you don't need to dissect the tach to get the need out? It essentially pulls right out of the face? Albeit a touchy extraction.... sounds much better than pulling a bunch of pieces apart.

Thanks!

Still no luck finding a tach needle. Anyone have any ideas on how to source one? I'm happy to pay a premium if any of you have one for a later model cluster.

Thanks!

Sorry I didn't get back to you.

Yes the needle pulls right out of the face.

I found my box of cluster parts. I'll dig into it tomorrow and shoot you a PM.
