Wow...VERY interesting. I'm afraid to ask what the price of one of those machines is! I have TONS of questions...but I'm known for going overboard so I'll ask just one. I'm not familiar with these machines at all, what is the red liquid coming out of the nozzles in the second picture? Your job looks sweet!

That machine is a Citizen (same as the watch manufacturer) B-20. I think a decent used one sells for around 50k, plus 8-12k for the barloader. Coolant is "Omicron", oil based - that water soluiable crap is BAD for the machines and smells horrible.

I saw on your website that you are close to offering the 16 valve cam cover bolts for sale. They look great! Any thoughts on pricing?

What are you using there....just a 5C collet chuck to do most of the work? Are you doing OPs 10 & 20?

Pretty well priced and capable machines IMO....similar to a Trak lathe. Do you run any mills or stick to the lathe?

Yes, I finally got a price on the plating - looks like the bolts are going to be around $8.

What kind of 'plating' are you doing? What material are you using?

It's all on the website.

Material is ETD 150

Plating is zinc dichromate (cadmium)

Machines do not use a 5c collet - they are a Swiss collet/rotating bushing type.

Ok Daniel, why don't you ditch texas, and move up to KC and run my Fadal 3016 for me

One of these days, we will get the room finished off and the walls up
