Default Brake Pad Reuse

Okay. I searched, but had no luck. I am swapping out my cross-drilled rotors to put on some new slotted ones because I am going to the track soon and read stories here about x-drilled cracking. I don't wanna take that chance. I installed these about 500 miles ago with new Ferodo brake pads. Would I be able to bed the new rotors with these pads? Is these a procedure like sanding down the pads. Thanks in advance.

You dont need to do anything to the pads, but you will have to do the normal break in with the new rotors. Just be careful for the first few stops as you will likely roll right through stop signs. I seem to do that every time i change my pads even knowing i am not going to stop well.
