Default Turbo S badge?

Did the 1988 Turbo S cars have an "S" on the back ID to distinguish from the 1988 normal turbos?
Thanks

Ok, three replies at the same time. I guess Kyle wins because his reply is the longest.

Heh...no badging difference, just suble exterior things such as the forged wheels and larger brakes. If you look under the hood, the top of the struts had adjustability for the shocks, and the intake had two vacuum ports between runners 3 and 4 instead of 1.

(a little extra info never hurt)

AS already stated there is not a Turbo S badge. I don't know why they didn't do this as there are other models with an S. Much to the dismay of others I am thinking of adding and S to the rear of mine.

I think adding an S looks tacky...there isn't room for it AND there isn't an S in the correct script. (of course to each his own and if you want one on there then I say more power to you!)

I've thought about badging the back of my car with "951" in the 968 script, if I did it I'd get it in black so it wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb.

My personal opinoin has always favored authenticity. Just me tho. Some people have done some very different things and they have come out wonderful.

I am thinking of getting the "Turbo" and "S" off the Cayanne. it is not the same script as the 944 BUT it will match.

If it's matching then I'm sure it will look fine. You should post a picture of it when you're done! I somewhat like the clean look of no badge in the rear...but I just cant bring myself to do it!

Mine has the S, but I didn't put it there... It didn't seem out of place until I discovered it wasn't supposed to be there originally. And yes- it's an '88 Turbo S.
