I have two way power seats in my 86 944. I was just wondering if I could put in four way power heated seats out of a 944, and if the wiring harness was the same. I was doing some looking and saw that the swap works on a 951, but I just wanted to make sure it would work on my car, as the seats are realtivly expensive.

As far as I know all 944/911 seats are interchangeable up to late 90's

I just had some '89 911 seats put in my '86 944. 2 way to 4 way, and non-powerd passenger to 2 way power passenger. No problems.

I didnt know heated seats were an option in 944's. Sounds cosy.

Yes, all the 944 electric seats used the same power supply, so a 12 way seat with heat would work with the cable in your 86 944.

I know I've heard of people putting 993 seats in a 951, but maybe the seats are different. I was under the impression porsche only changed the mechanicals for the 944 turbo however.

 

Yes they will fit. The same seats were in 968s in 94-95.

My 993 seats work just fine, install takes about 10 minutes a side, same bolt holes, same bolts, and same electrics. Works great, last long time.

 

Someone446- where have you found heated 4-way power seats for your 944? I was thinking of doing the same thing in my 86 951. Thanks for the supplier help.

I put heated seats from a 93 968 in mine. Just plugged them up and they worked.

 

Remember that our cars are already wired for heated seats even if you don't have them.

 

I have wet dreams continually about heated sport seats ;->
