The picture of the tow truck makes it look like when people catch the shark and they hang it and take the picture. Poor shark.

Wow, glad you and the car are OK. Craig unfortunately I don't have Speed, so I will have to wait til the vid is posted, but those pics are crazy. BTW was your S2 originally from Ohio?

Cheers,

Man, that's a fat ***.

Yeah, the S2 is from Ohio. Before that it was Byron Short's SCCA car.

Hey Craig,

So in those pics, is the car just floating or is has it sunk down to the bottom?

Russel: Yup, have all that, no worries, thanks.

Bill: the tide is going out, and the car is resting on rocks. It is a couple feet or so off the actual bottom (I did jump in, but I didn't measure ... )

The, ah, exciting part was not knowing how deep the water was upon entry ...

Craig,

I caught the race today and I was looking intently for your car when suddenly there was in-car footage from your car! I really wasn't expecting to see the ocean detour. Congratulations on finishing!

Very sorry for the misfortune with your car, atleast you have one hell of a bar story now.

Just curious, are the wheels on your car the RUF 5-spokes?

Good to see you finished the race . Those older 911's gave the newer cars a run for their money

Is the car fixable or is it totalled? It doesn't look like there was too much structural damage from the pics.

Jon: wheels are 17" Ruf Carrera's. Heavy but tough.

Potent...: car is running, but currently is at Blaszak's for some more electrical ancilliaries. (Salt water destroyed every electrical motor/controller, I'm only replacing them as I can find inexpensive used parts.) The car was my daily driver up until Christmas. There was no structural damage.
