haha, 120 in school zones, good one.

I think my car may need an allignment or something, or maybe it's because of a past crash but it doesn't feel that stable past 120 km/h or maybe it's because of the road I was driving on, wasn't a freeway.

fastest I've gone was 180 km/h in my old 924. I don't see the point of having a car that goes over 200km/h because I don't see anywhere on public roads that you can exceed that speed when you have an old lady with a cadillac in front of you.

fasted legal speed limit here is 120 so I usually don't go over 140 -160 km/h.

I dunno. To me, going "fast" (100-130) on a highway just sounds boring. Why bother? So things rush by a little faster and the dashed lines start to run together. Whoopdeefreakindoo. Even an autocross in a parking lot where speeds don't get much over 50mph is more exciting with all of the dynamic load changes and cornering.

I drive the speed limit- it's a good thing. Besides, cops notice red.

Fast is for the track- and that was about 135. (beyond the speed rating for my tires )

I've hit 135 mph in the NA, on a cold day, but as previously stated, the speedo is very liberal over 100. It was a long straight, no traffic, US 421. While I still had some pedal, the car started to get a "little light" and I backed off.

Just had a four wheel alignment and two new tires on the rear. I'm thinking I may still have some carbon build up in the engine and may try to blow some more out soon, before warmer weather gets here.

I was hoping to hit 135 again when the speedo turned 200,000 miles, but alas, traffic...

About four years ago, not long after I picked up the car, I hit 130 indicated on a stretch of I-64 between Richmond and Charlottesville when there were zero cars around. The front end started getting light at that point, so I backed off- it felt like the car still had some speed left in it, although not too much. It was done out of sheer curiosity to see how the car felt at Autobahn speeds, not some sort of false bravado or "Hay guyz, I'm speedin' in ur hiwayz", and I haven't gotten anywhere near that speed since, especially after getting a ticket for 102 in a 65 in late '03 on I-295 outside of Richmond due to my own stupid impatience in trying to pass a truck... Hanover County does not play, and they were not happy with me. Three months license suspension and 500 bucks later, that was an expensive lesson learned.

To the ATL kid wanting to go do some top speed runs... it's your license and your insurance, you'll do whatever the hell you want, but I want to see you man up and admit it if you get tagged by the Georgia State Police. And don't come in here cryin' about it either, "I got a ticket, how do I beat it, waaaaaah"- you make the choice, and you live with the consequences.

OOPS...I meant 250 kph...duh! I dunno how accurate a 20 year old speedo would be though. Corrected would likely be in the 235 kph range or 146 mph. (1.6 kph per 1.0 mph)

***For the record I'd just like to say that I've only attempted a speed check on a flat open road, no passengers or traffic.***

An important point IMO.

mavfan sorry your car is slow. Bone *** stock 130 is hard to get. If you're a believer that exhaust and AFM adjustments don't make a difference may have something to do with that. 125-130 was all mine had and I did'nt know it had a rev limiter til exhaust change. 145+ with slightly shorter front tires then stock 225/50 instead of 215/60. 8 notches lighter on AFM spring made 10 rwhp.

Since the odo on your early car reads from the front wheel, that makes sense.
