Post timing troubles

I took my early na to the dyno today for some base numbers. Its always sounded like the timing was retarded under load and turns out it is. Timing is 36 degrees @3000 no load under load (full throttle) its 24 degrees. Which would be fine if I was spraying or boosting to the moon. Just wondering if its vacuum or TPS controlled knowing the TPS is only active full open and full closed.

I just pulled up a 84NA map, that's exactly what it is supposed to be within .8 degrees. It's map controlled.

Russell
It drops from 36 to 24 instantly at FT no ramping down with RPM so whats switching it. What does TPS switch at FT just timing. With no spray or turbo I'd rather 36 then 24.

Your TPS has a switch that engages the wide open throttle maps, when you hit that switch, the computer jumps from the partial throttle map to the wide open throttle map. So that is indeed quite a jump depending on where you are as far as rpm/load when you punch it.

Does it also lean the fuel map? I have better A/F ratio with TPS unpluged.
