Default Shop for PPI in Annapolis MD

One of my employees is looking to buy an 87 NA. The car is located in annapolis MD. I know a couple shops in VA that can do it, but the owner wants to keep the car local. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

Try Tif's(410-268-8288), they used to be busy all the time but I've been out of the area for 12 years now. There is another shop on West St. almost downtown that does alot of BMW work and some pcars as well, very reputable when my buddy worked there a few years back. Sorry, can't remember the name. Both independents. Send a pm to Silverbullet, I think he lives in Annapolis. Hope this helps.

I used Tif's for a ppi, and was completely, no let me restate that , COMPLETELY disappointed by them. My "oil leak free" car more closely resembled the Exxon Valdez, they didn't know how to do a leakdown test so they did a compression test and got THAT wrong as well (I expect they didn't block open the throttle plate. They also don't know how to properly recharge an AC system.

In my own personal experience, Tif's was a waste of money and they don't know $h!t. Fortunately for me, the seller of the car was/is an honest guy and I am very happy with the car I purchased.

Regards,

Wow, things must have changed since I left. I worked in a bodyshop around the corner from Tif's and they used to have a killer reputation. Glad Scott chimed in before I steered somebody wrong.

I actually went to look at the car last night. Everything checked out, the owner had a decent size stack of reciepts. The main concern was the timing belt which was replaced in 2003 ~5k miles ago. The PO had the belt inspected and retensioned a few months ago. The tech noted that the condition was ok so my employee bought the car without the PPI. I told him to have the belt done ASAP just in case. Right now Ive got him reading herer and Clark's Garage so he can learn a little about these cars. Thanks guys!!
