Question Has anyone tried repairing a climate control module?

Has anyone tried repairing a late model (86+) climate control module before? I got a spare one a few months ago but the top slider that directs the airflow towards the windshield is not working. It seems like a simple aspect of the entire piece so I was hoping maybe I could repair it myself.

Tried it, can't buy the parts for them anywhere...

If you buy enough of them on ebay, you might get one that works.

Well my interest was in hopefully being able to clean something in the slider mechanism in hopes that it would regain its function.

This is a non-a/c climate control module, so that explains my interests in getting it fixed to have as a spare for my other one already in the car.

I may have an extra. I won't know until I replace the dash. If you figure this issue out, please do post. Real DIY ac info is severely lacking in our community. Even Clark's isn't really very helpful.
