For Valentine's day, she not only got me a new 924S manual (PO lost it), but she also got me a Haynes repair manual and a gift certificate for the nearby brushless/do-it-yourself car wash (place has both options)!

The only downside is that its supposed to snow like 3 ft tomorrow, so I won't get to drive my Porsche for a while....but at least now i've got these sweet books to learn from/dream with haha

 

Mine was "sadly disappointed in me" for buying a car and is so jealous of all the time I spend on it. She swore she would never ride in it.

There's this girl at school though that I taught to drive stick in my 944 (she learned fast) and after riding in a 951 with me really wants to buy one...

Kudos to your girl on the gift selection...my roommate bought me a haynes manual for Christmas. I had no idea what I was doing to begin with and it is great to get you off the ground.

Mine changed my oil and helped me detail last weekend (yeah, she actually wanted to) and is helping me with glowplugs and a coolant sensor on the VW this weekend, plues whatever else she decides to get me.

 

Mine doesn't give a crap about Valentine's day, that makes me luckiest of all. To have a somewhat pragmatic girlfriend is just too awesome. In fact, she technically owns the parts car since I was at work when the deal needed to be done. Also, she donates many AAA free tows to the cause of my automotive habit

Though she has said she's not the slightest bit interested in having a 944 of her own...

 

My wife claims that she got me new floor mats for V-Day...they are sitting in her office but no one is getting to work today because of the weather so I have to wait until tomorrow.

yikes, that kinda sucks dude. find a supportive chick she should be happy your working on your car, and not out downing beers at the bar meeting chicks! im serious too, if its friday night and i tell her in advance i have a project id like to do, i'll never hear grief. she'll happily go out with her girlfriends and leave me alone for hours/days with wrenches in my hands. and cant wait to sit shot gun next time we use it for a drive.

 

If you kinda "take a break" with your gf the day before valentines day do you still have to take her out if you had plans? That is the question.
