Default power steering: 951 compared to 944?

So I just resealed a leaky PS pump on my 944. It steers a bit easier and doesn't shoot geysers of PS fluid everywhere anymore. I was really happy about how the leak stopped out of the pump halves. I think I may still be leaking a really small amount out of a line or something somewhere. But I drove a 951 the other day and its steering was effortless in comparison. Did the 951s have better PS or is my PS just still screwed up?
