Default Seattle Craigslist-88 944 N/A

OK, so I am still looking, and figure everyone on here likes to look at cars as much as I do. So here is another one:

http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/car/272797334.html

I emailed the seller and this is the reply I got back.

rims and tires struts and shocks koni adjustable clutch pressure plate throw out bearing reman trans with quaif drive belts
c/v joints and boots ball joints alt and battery zimmermen crossed drilled rotors brake pads stainless
steel brake lines and alignment about 1000 miles ago
timing belt balance shaft belt tensioner and idlers water pump a/c compressor dist cap rotor ign cables
spark plugs fuel filter about 2500 miles ago
epom is rechiped 50 state leagle hi flow muffler and air filter "s" sway bars front and rear
no leaks and runs out great
we had entended to auto cross this veh but never have
miles 126642
vin WP0AB0946JN470462
we have a new toy and this one lives in the garage needs to be driven

Perhaps some of you on here can translate the above for me? I sent an email to ask if they did the work themselves, or if it was done at a dealer.

Forgot to add that when I ran the CARFAX there was an entry that showed "exempt from odometer reporting". It states that twice. Most perplexing to me is that there are two entries like this "Vehicle color noted as Tan". WTF, over? Why would it state a vehicle color. It clearly looks grey to me. Does this mean they did a repaint? Weird.

Thanks,

Cory

Interesting plaid carpeting on the doors. I thought that was for Silver Rose 951s only?

Now that looks like a much better car.

The recent work mentioned is a good thing. They are in Sultan, which is far from any porsche dealer, also, my guess would be they did it themselves looking at the mods done.

Odo exempt means that someone pushed the reset button while the car was in motion, or the crappy plastic gear wore out and was replaced. This is common on the 944.

I wouldnt worry too much about color. Looking at the interior, and the wheels, its safe to say plenty on this car has been played with. As long as the paint is good that is all that is important.

I'd say PPI it, and maybe offer $5k, though even 5.4k is a really good deal if the car is in good mechanics. (Turbo Twist Wheels usually run around 1k alone)
