RED shifter inserts?????
Has anyone ever seen one of these? Maybe my PO just slapped some Guards red in there, but it looks pretty professional if that's the case.
I want to get another one of these to put on, when i recover my shifter with the AGLA kit.
Thanks in advance!

Actually the paint (or whatever) is starting to show some wear, and that's why i wanted to find a new one.

Spread vaseline in a thin coat over the top, dont get it in the numbers. Then spray it.
Havent done it myself but sounds like a good idea. Why not just touch that one up a bit?

I may, but i don't want it to look worse with my new shifter. I'm actually debating whether or not to just get a stainless one from rennbay and be done with it.
But since i don't have anything else stainless in my car, i don't know if it would look out-of-place?

Its small, it would look fine. Mine is the only metal on the inside of my car and it looks sharp. I think you should get the stainless one.

I dont have any on this computer, sorry. It doesnt look out of place to me though. The plastic seems almost cheap now that im used to the metal.

i may just do that. It'd probably be easier to install with the new shifter anyways rather than trying to be "gentle" with the plastic one...

I put my steel one in with a rubber mallet. It would have been a PITA with the plastic one Ill bet.

It is a pain in the *** to seat it properly. I am thinking about getting a metal one because mine is pretty crappy.

A stainless shifter cap would go great with a stainless dash trim piece, and a black interior.
Just thinking out loud (out text?).

I agree..there's some nice looking stainless caps out there, there's a coloured logo cap too. Nice.
