Default New windshield blues

I just had a new sekurit windshield installed in my 951. The reveal moulding(rubber seal that goes around glass) sent to me by my local dealer does not seem to fit. The p/n starts with 993 so I figured they sent me the wrong part as usual but they tell me that is the number that superseded the 944 number. Have any of you guys run into this and found a solution? A part number would help tremendously.
Thanks

If any wants to know the part they sent me will work. It just has to be cut and is a major pain in the *** to install. Make sure to have the glass installer put it in when they do the glass. They will try to tell you it doesn't fit because they don't want to be bothered.

The newer windshield requires a small piece of metal to be cut from the window frame by the bottom. The glass, once installed, fills the gap and the rubber trim is not needed. I believe that if you pull out the clear plastic that is around the windshild trim it can be reinstalled. The clear plastic cracks after a few years anyway.

This has been the case with a few 944 windshields I have done since the early 90's at least/
