More on Fuchs: Racing Applications and Latest Replica Wheels
Two quick thoughts for discussion:
1) IMO, the most recent iteration of Fuchs replicas being sold by several companies including Automotion and Wheels and Caps is a better wheel than their predecessors. They are Italian made from a "cold casting" process that allows for a lighter casting than previous versions. They are also somewhat heftier in key places as a concession to not being forged and are claimed to all be X-rayed for casting integrity. I use a set of them on the rear of my NA racer in 16x8 15 mm offset and they only weigh about 17 lbs each! Still not willing to trust the fronts to a cast wheel and I use more afforcable 16x7 911 real McCoy Fuchs on the front.
2) In the thread about 15x7/8 Fuchs someone mentioned the issue of aging in the Fuchs stock. This is not a trivial concern in the minds of some folks. Word around Summit Point is that even PCA President Tom Bobbit is phasing out the inventory of old Fuchs on his older 911 club racer because of concerns over the age and beating the wheels have taken over the years.
FWIW, I don't think a nice Fuchs or one of the current replicas is a danger or a performance concession on the street. The price of the rarest Fuchs is more a function of desirability for authenticity these days on a street car than safety or performance....since quality control seems to have improved from this Italian vendor and the wheel design allows for strength and weight that are comparable, if not equal, to OE Fuchs.
Racing concerns over older parts will continue to be an issue for all Porsche owners...i.e. the Racer Edge M030 951 hubs now approved for PCA racing.

millie miglia wheels are TUV approved, but metro may not allow them on the track this season. i know the powers that be are looking out for out safety. however it is getting very difficult to know what is and is not allowed with the clear as mud rules.
for example my seats have to be mounted to the floorpan with grade 8 bolts. but the bolts holding the sparco adapter plate to the sparco tracks and the bolts holding the sparco tracks to the seat that are sold by sparco are not grade 8.

Funny. It will let you select those wheels for an 84 911, but it says they won't fit an 84 944. Somebody needs to fix their website because they might be losing potential customers that didn't know any better and took them at their word regarding fittiment.
