'86 944 (previously listed) Copenhagen Blue w/ Oyster leather int. 5spd, newer Mich pilots on phone dials, less than 90,000 miles (145k Kilometers) Needs head gasket. $2,500 obo.
Here's what I found out about it:
A little more history:
I’m the 3rd owner, 1st owner bought new in Canada, second owner bought used from Porsche dealer in Canada (early 90’s), but moved to So CA. Car was stored in Canada for a couple of years and then transported to So CA. where I got it 3 years ago. It has been garaged for the winter each year since coming to Indiana. Full repaint in 1995 Copenhagen Blue with Oyster Leather interior. Sun roof, all power, Aluminum whls. (phone dials) New Michelin Pilots at 120K, Timing belt at 100K. I have a couple of owners manuals, a Haynes manual, an extra set of hood or hatch struts, an extra power window motor, miscellaneous switches, a set of Blaupunkt speakers for the front and a couple sets of speaker grills. It has an aftermarket cd stereo, pretty fair number of records/receipts from both prior owners and a clean carfax report.
I asked about the head gasket:
The coolant temp switch went bad. The fans quit working and it overheated. I tore it down to the point of replacing the switch when I found out I had the wrong part. So the best I could do was to clean the connectors and put it back together. When I brought it back to operating temp to test the switch I noticed a bit of steam coming off the motor. Upon closer inspection at temp, there's coolant boiling out between the head and block. I've only had one mechanic look at it but they confirmed it was the gasket. I fire it up occasionally to keep everything lubed. It still starts and runs, no mixed fluids. The back rotor may require turning as it has sat for a while with the parking brake on.
The estimates have been 2000-2500 for the repair. The best deal being the $2,500 which included the coolant switch, head gasket, timing belt etc + water pump. Unfortunately the boss won't approve the $ to repair it, and I don't have the time or expertise to do it myself.
Anybody interested? I have no pictures of it so far.

A local Rennlister already jumped on this car very quickly.
I'll let him decide if he wants to discuss his purchase.
Thanks for all the interest and I apologize if anyone was interested and couldn't get at it in time. It went to a good home.

I will have to get this thing out in the light to get some better pics at some point, but you get the idea. Pretty cool car. Canadian model, so it's in KMs, has heated seats, block heater etc. Very clean, and many if not all records.
