what is it? so my body man can get the right paint...

He looked in the Porsche Parts catalogue and he got something like this

Paint: 911 095 932 20

Grand prix white: 908

Guards Red: 80K

Ruby Stone Red: 80N

Maritime Blue : 38B

(At least thats what i see in the catalogue....)

That is the part number for the touch up paint tube...$21 at Porsche. I found out the hard way when a $21 pebble got kicked up by a truck and hit my fender, taking the paint down to the bare metal.

LM3A is the code you need to tell your body shop to get the right paint.

Thats correct LM3A. I was just going from memory on the part number as I don't have PET on my laptob Just had remeber it from when I worked at the dealer.

Anyways find a shop that will Porsceh O.E paint if possible. Esepacially On a single stage paint like Guards red.

OEM paint is Glassurit i think.....EXPENSIVE!!

where do you get it and how much for an entire car? what is single stage?

Single stage means one paint coat of color. As oposed to 2 stage of base color and then a clear top coat. Not original but easier to work with. If you don't want to pay for the german stuff then Dupont has a good match either 1 or 2 stage. Chroma Premier for the single and Chroma base and Chroma clear for the 2. The OEM paint code will work with any Dupont supplier.

You can probably paint the whole car with a gallon.
