Racing Dynamics Strut Brace, anyone have one
#2
I have one fitted to my '89 turbo.
A slight modification of the heat shield around the brake cylinder/booster was required and I had to do a little griding on the drivers side mounting plate to fit with the Racers Edge camber plates. This was easy work and a simple install, with no concern of weakening the structural integrity.
The only flaw in the design is when removing the brace you must remove the four bolts which mount the top of the strut to the car on one side only. I installed these bolts from the wheel well facing up with the nut on top and if one of the back two falls out when removing the brace they can be a pain to get back in.
