Default Mileage per tank

I think my fuel gauge is off on a 90 S2. I am keeping an eye on mileage before filling up and I don't want to push it to low/far. How many miles are you guys getting on a full tank?

250-450. some people say 500 if you clutch in alot. I get around 300-350 because I have a heavy foot.

the gas gauge is useless. Mine reads empty with half a tank left. I go strictly by mileage. Every 300 miles I put about 14 to 15 gallons in.

My car doen't get drivin very frequently so when I do take it out it is usually for some back road blasts. I still get around 22 mpg. Generally fill it up at around 300. I have gone over 420 averaging about 75 mph.

My record with the NA is 543 miles. That's full to sputtering. Took right at 20 gallons to refill it.

With interstate driving, I can make it 500 miles with no AC running. Then it took 18.6 gallons to fill, which is when the pump shut off automatically.

Wow, I was getting cautious at 220 miles...I am too used to my Jeep. I guess I have a lot more fun before I need to fill up. Thanks!

The thing that fools your head is that it is a 21 gallon fuel tank, which is more then many suv's... So it feels great going 500 miles, until you spend 60 dollars at the pump to fill it. ;P

Hey, I just checked on edmunds and the specs are 358-576 miles per tank...what a huge range between city and highway.
