I need some tires and wanted to know if anyone had some experience with these tires, should i go with the Yokohama or BF Goodrich?
Link:
YOKOHAMA
BF Goodrich
I drive approx 2000-3000 miles/year, dry conditions, no track. I want a good quality, low road noise tire.
Thanks in advance.

I've had the g-force sports on my s2 for about 8,000 miles. I drive pretty hard and they've held up great, also excellent grip for a street tire. I highly recommend them.

I have the Yoko ES100s on my car. I love them. I got about 18,000 miles out of my rears, and I don't drive THAT slow...also their wet traction was great. I can definately tell that they grip better than the temporary tires I have on my car right now. I'm definately getting the Yoko's, and they aren't that expensive either.

Ive used yokohama A55OH (an older model H rated tire) and theyve been alright however Ive learned from a few tire savvy guys that Yoko's can be very difficult to balance at high speed (100+) and mine had to be shaved b/c the factory didnt mold them quite right - it was very noticble with the manual rack at those speeds.

I'm also shopping for tires right now. How do the yokos hold up in snow? I need something to get me through occasion winter driving in Minnesota. I should have a winter beater next year, but for the time being the 944 is all I've got so I need to make it work.

I haven't exactly had my car at 100+ speeds, but my tires balanced out fine. They were excellent tires! The only reason I have a different set on the rear right now is because my valvestem failed and the inner sidewall dissentigrated when it went flat. I have Falkens on the rear right now, and I can chirp the tires in second, but I couldn't with the Yokos.

I had Continental Sport Contact II's before, they were a great tire for me, never had a problem and they were pretty quiet unless it was a rough road.
I like Aribop's choice though. Man, that's sweet!

(actually im leaning towards those for my steel wheels).
for street tire im probably going to go with these (potenza RE750) which appear to be much more favorable over both the yoko and bf goodrich's
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....=Potenza+RE750
and if not those possably the RE960s.

I currently have bridgestone Potenza RE950's and LOVE them, but they are discontinued and replaced with the 960s. since i now have 15X6.5 Minilites comming (FINALLY
) i can go with an ultra performance summer tire so im leaning towards the re 750s

Thanks for all the feedback guys. Greatly appreciated. Im surprised the Yoko's are unstable at 100+mph.
Quality is my nr one priority, something that is stable and will last long is what im looking for. Sounds like the BF is the better choice between the two. Price wise i want to keep it around 400-500 and those are the two tires i narrowed it down to.

The tires are great both wet and dry.
